Perfect set of bird eggs :) To be serious, you have nice set of experiments. I would guess that the very first one wouldn't work that well if the hairs had a random direction. The one below that one... like I said there is a nice impression created with those dots of different size. I would guess (or at least hope) that you got something from this exercise...
